Bridge Gardens

   Bridge Gardens is a unique botanical garden owned by the Peconic Land Trust. Donated to the Trust in 2008, the gardens provide a wonderful oasis to visitors and feature many specimens of trees, shrubs, hedgerows, roses, perennials and herbs. Situated on over 5 acres, Bridge Gardens features a number of beautiful garden rooms, with ample opportunities to explore. Daily admittance is $10 per person, or $20/family, and seasonal and corporate memberships are available. Special tours may be arranged for groups of 10 or more. LongHouse Reserve

   Sixteen acres of gardens are punctuated with over 70 pieces of contemporary sculpture. Landscape features include a pond, numerous alleys and walks, a dune garden, tropical garden, established lawns and ornamental borders. There are collections of bamboo and grasses; conifers and broadleaf evergreens. Established in 1991, LongHouse Reserve reflects founder Jack Larsen's desire to bring together art and nature, encourage creativity in gardening, and exemplify living with art in all forms. LongHouse gardens and gallery are open to the public 2-5 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays, late April through early October; July and August from 2-5 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is $10; seniors $8.

The Madoo Conservancy

   The Madoo Gardens in Sagaponack are the 2 acre-creation of painter Robert Dash. The Gardens are a compendium of major garden styles with bold coloring, rare trees and plants and innovative use of pruning techniques. Hailed by the NY Times as an "everchanging masterpiece" and selected by National Geographics as one of 22 Secret Gardens in the US and Canada, Madoo is open to the public from May 15 through September 15 on Fridays and Saturdays from Noon-4pm. Admission is $10.00
