The Southampton Rose Society is a horticultural institute dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of roses and educating the public on the rewarding hobby of rose culture. The Society was formed 33 years ago. In 2008, working with the Southampton Beautification Committee, the Society created and gifted to the people of Southampton two walls of roses in the Village; one wall is located next to Hampton Homecare on Hampton Road, the other is next to Shippy’s Restaurant on Windmill Lane. In 2003, the Society created and gifted to the people of Southampton the SRS Rose Garden which is located on the grounds of the Rogers Memorial Library at 91 Coopers Farm Road, and is open and free to the public 7 days a week. The Garden is also available for weddings. Personalized engraved bricks may be purchased and all proceeds go towards the maintenance of the Garden. For more information on events or membership, please call 631-283-9648 or write to Southampton Rose Society, P.O. Box 1022, Southampton, NY 11969
