Kites for a Cure is Uniting Against Lung Cancers signature family fundraiser and awareness event. Started on Southamptons Coopers Beach in 2007, Kites for a Cure brings hundreds of area families together on Memorial Day Weekend to fly kites and raise money for lung cancer research. Founded in memory of a Southampton resident, Uniting Against Lung Cancer is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative lung cancer research. Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer in the United States among both men and women. Since 2003, we have funded over $7.3 million in lung cancer research to top investigators across the country.
