Greenport Jerky Company logo

Greenport Jerky Company

Farmers & Artisans Market

We are a small batch JERKY producer on the North Fork of Long Island, NY Our handcrafted JERKY starts with ONLY U.S. beef brisket. Our beef is never imported like the mass produced brands. After trimming off all of the fat, we then hand slice and inspect each piece to insure the highest quality. No two pieces are the same size or shape. Unlike the mass produced variety that is pressed and or cut by machine from mystery parts. The meat is then marinated for 24 hours in our 23-year-old family recipes. No MSG or nitrates are added, and we do not use fillers like corn syrups or solids. The JERKY is then dehydrated for 2 to 4 hours depending on the cut. Many companies use compounds to make this process easier and faster. This time consuming process allows us to produce a high quality, tender and mouth watering JERKY. We don't cut corners, when you eat our gourmet JERKY you will taste the difference.

Gardening organically since 1971 We have been gardening organically since 1971 and at this location since 1978. Our approach is beyond organic, using mulches and manure produced by our organically grown chickens. Our chickens are a threatened species, Buckeyes, from "Urch" chicks. They are a dual purpose old timey breed that produces brown eggs and good size meat birds. All products we use in conjunction with our gardens are OMRI approved, so although we are not certified, you can be assured of high quality uncontaminated produce.

Kalypso Farms logo

Kalypso Farms

Farms & Vineyards

Premium strained yogurt made from grass fed cow's milk from NY State farms. Consumers today are finally becoming more interested in their foods’ origin and story. Cows that live on dairy farms that practice managed grazing have significantly different lives than cows on large, industrial dairies. “You are what you eat” holds true for our girls. Milk from an A2 Heritage breed of Jersey cows that graze on grass – versus eating a grain-based diet on feedlots – is a better source of heart-healthy fats and certain antioxidants. In general, our girls’ living conditions are much more enjoyable (pasture, sun, and grazing vs. being confined in an industrial feeding barn). Our Jersey's are fed the diet they evolved to eat, and do not suffer from the maladies common in cows fed a grain or corn based diet. This all means that our products are made without the use of toxic pesticides or GMO’s. EVER! In the end, it translates into not only being good for you but good for the planet too.

Parterre Enterprises

Farmers & Artisans Market

Custom design, either using a unique style for one of our existing products, or creating something entirely new, has never been easier.Sometimes you know exactly what you want; a client has specified a hand-woven tea towel to match a selected decor element, such as cabinetry, wall paper, or an artistic theme.Other times, a friend will compliment you on a Parterre product and say, 'if only they made it in...', naming their favorite colors.Alternatively, your design need will be truly unique, requiring research into materials, historic detaling or other aspects that are specific to you. We tackle them all!Our design consultancy begins with a simple conversation and sometimes that's all it takes. We gather details until we are ready to create a sample for you. This is done in order to allow you to handle the fabric and see the product in your own surroundings. The design, including sizing, colors and thread type are all perfected before your final product is created. Costs of samples and design services are built into the products upon delivery.
